The Mill Shopping Centre – Energy Improvement Pathway Report

We’re proud to share that we have completed a strategic Energy Improvement Pathway report for The Mill Shopping Centre, developed with the assistance of the SEAI EXEED Programme, with 𝟱𝟬% 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 to support the commissioning of the report.

The report sets out a clear roadmap to 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲, reduce energy consumption, and enhance the BER rating of the common areas from 𝗗𝟮 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝟯 through a structured, phased approach.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:

✅ 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟭 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆-𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀.

When implemented, these measures could deliver a 𝟳𝟱% 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, significant operational savings, and a more resilient, sustainable future for the centre, its occupiers, and the wider community.

The development of this report demonstrates how 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, supported by SEAI’s EXEED funding framework, can transform existing retail assets into efficient, low-carbon buildings — creating long-term value for owners and occupiers alike.
